I want to take a second to talk a little about what spurred me to create this space in the first place. Why have a blog? Why a newsletter? It's 2026. Just make some reels and some Tik-toks, watch some advice on personal brands to forget it, and be content with the content you're making and hope that the algorithm picks up on what you're putting down.
That sucks.
And overall, I think content.as a whole, has gotten worse. There are a handful of problems: a creator base incentivized to maintain, retain, and retrain attention; a dilution of deeper ideas floating somewhere in the mixture of an oversaturated but highly consumed algorithmic mix; and now AI giving everyone with the seeds of an idea the ability to blossom the same exact idea.
So I started a blog. And I started a blog with three good intentions.
- A desire to fight poor, AI-driven/written content with high quality human-made content that goes deep on ideas.
- A desire to make a shit ton of money from the untapped market of email newsletters authored by balding white men with glasses.
- A desire to be a way others can curate the content they consume outside of an algorithm.
- A need to build something for myself, even if it is just a tiny pocket of space somewhere on the internet that gets the occasional visitor.
When it comes to what will be written, it will be a hodgepodge of ideas at first that eventually lead back to the idea of content, advertising, AI, and filmmaking. We're consuming information like never before, but it feels like that information has gotten less dense, fulfilling, and worthwhile. I want to examine why, while trying to explore other ideas for the sake of the journey.
Everything is 100% human made and human written. And hopefully, somewhere in there, are some New Human Thoughts.
