Seek not to follow in the footsteps of the wise; seek what they sought.
That's the quote I'm pondering today. We put such preciousness in the words and ideas of successful people, and such pressure on ourselves to follow in their footsteps. But following in the footsteps of others isn't going to lead to success; we are so different that no path and no journey is successfully repeated.
